We've
had our Old World Butcher Block top for several weeks
now, and I wanted to let everyone at Old World know how
pleased we are with it. The cuts and finish were done
exactly as we'd discussed. It is beautiful!! Everyone
who comes in the house has marveled at the workmanship.
It is really hard to find craftsmen in today's world.
One other thing, the shipping department really does
know how to protect your products. I believe this
sucker could have been blasted to the moon without a
scratch!

Hello,
I just wanted to tell you
how beautiful the piece is - thank you so much! And as
a testament to your crating, a little story. Our dogs
love to race the truck through the vineyard back to the
house. On the day that the butcher block arrived, we
picked it up at our UPS box at one end of the property
and put it in the bed of the truck, tailgate down. Both
dogs, Maggee and Shorty, were itching for a race so my
husband stomped on the accelerator. Well, because of
the liner in the truck bed, the crated block shot out
the back and did several somersaults on the concrete. I
thought for sure it would have been damaged, but not a
scratch!

priced butcher blocks. Your price was a quarter of what
some other companies quoted us and I have to say that I

cabinet design came over to get some pictures of the
finished job for their book. He took some great shots. I

We had our kitchen remodeled 2
years ago and have been meaning to write.
I wanted to express my
thanks in your great product and service.
Upon delivery in its crate
we loved how beautiful our Jatoba custom island countertop
was, but then we noticed there was a misinterpretation of
our drawing spec. You agreed to compensate us for the cost
of our contractor modifying it to fit our design and even
sent the router bit and extra poly to us at no charge. The
island is awesome and the focal point of our kitchen. Our
contractor said it was an great wood and craftsmanship. He
raved about it to his partners. The wood was so hard and
well put together he burned his saw out cutting the hole
for our range! He routed the piece cut out as well and now
we use it as a cutting board! So just wanted to say thanks
for the great product and service. Pictures attached. As
you can see it perfectly matches our eco-Brazilian cherry
flooring.

World Butcher Blocks...
Our "work
of art" arrived by motor freight late yesterday
afternoon. My wife and I worked in the 90 degree heat to
get it un-crated ... when we took the top off the crate
the oooh's and aaaah's from those present reflected the
beauty and quality of your product.
We've worked to rebuild and restore an 1850's period farm
house in New York's Hudson Valley region for over 20 years
... this kitchen-island-top will now become the focal
point of our kitchen / dining area on the third floor.
Thanks for your attention to detail and tremendous
craftsmanship. Also, the crating was remarkable ... the
plywood "coffin" took some heavy hits from something ...
you surely know how shippers treat freight these days...
even so far as to split the lamination of the plywood on
one side in several places... but the crating held and
protected the piece.
In conclusion, GREAT JOB! I'm sure you'll be hearing from
us again.
